Turning 3

For Marshall, turning 3 has been very eventful.
After having his big birthday bash on Saturday, where he had a Mickey Mouse cake, he got some neat new gifts.
Among his new gifts was a new big boy bed from Mommy and Daddy.
Saturday night was Marshall's first night sleeping out of his crib and in his new race car bed. He did GREAT! Just like his brothers, he stayed in his bed for the entire night and waited for Mommy to come and get him in the morning. Nap time was a success for the past 2 days as well.
I am so proud of Marshall for obeying his rules to stay in bed.

I'm "free" now.

Birthday with Daddy

In our family, when you turn 3 years old, you get to start having a special birthday night out with just Daddy. In the past, I think the boys have always chosen to go to Chuck E. Cheese.

Marshall had his first Daddy birthday night on Friday night. They went to the preschool open gym at a local elementary school and then had dinner at McDonald's.

Marshall had such a fun night that he didn't want to stop playing.

The View From Brady and Logan's Cameras

So both Brady and Logan got cameras as gifts for Christmas last year. Before bringing them along to the zoo last week, we had to take the time to upload their pictures onto the computer in order to free up some memory for zoo pics.

It's funny to see what kids decide to photograph, so I thought I'd share what I found in their cameras. The videos were even better, but I opted not to download them on the blog.

Enjoy...

Happy Birthday Marshall

I honestly don't remember 3 years old being such a hard birthday for me in the past. I guess it's because Marshall is the youngest, but it really hit me hard this time.
As of tomorrow, when Marshall gets his big boy bed, this will be the first time in almost 8 years since I did not have a child sleeping in a crib. Also, these past few months have been a first for not having a child in diapers in almost 8 years! That one is not so sad :).

So far we have celebrated Marshall's birthday by singing the birthday song at least 20 times! We also had a play date with 2 of Logan's friends this morning, who also happen to adore Marshall. We've eaten birthday cookies, spaghettios, grilled cheese, and lot of grapes.
It's nap time right now, but later today is Marshall's first birthday night out with Daddy. They are going to the preschool open gym at one of the elementary schools in town and then onto Marshall's favorite fast food--McDonald's (or as he has always called it--YaHee).

Tomorrow is his birthday party with family. We'll be celebrating with pizza and cake and I can hardly wait for him to see his new bed from Mommy and Daddy :).

I am so proud of Marshall. He is very affectionate and loving and he loves to do/say whatever his big brothers are doing/saying. Marshall is my little artist and he's pretty good at drawing pictures of Mickey Mouse. He knows almost all of his letters and can count up to 20 now. I just can't believe how much he has changed in the past year.

Here's the official "3 year old today" picture that we took today.

And just for fun, here are Brady and Logan's "3 year old today" pictures to compare. Strangely enough, they were wearing the same shirt.

The Past Few Weeks

Just because I haven't blogged in awhile doesn't mean I don't have fun pictures to share. It also doesn't mean that I have a lot of time for words, so I'll share the pictures and you can see for yourself what we've been up to.

Logan and Marshall opened up their own auto repair shop.

I think Marshall's shirt says it all.
