Operation Right Front Tooth Continued

The story of Brady's right front tooth continues...

Yesterday, the tooth was finally down far enough to get it's own bracket!
This morning, it was amazingly almost completely in already.

Here are some of the progress pictures so far.

10/14 Right front tooth missing since surgery on 7/13.

5/15 The day of surgery to attach chain to pull tooth down.

6/15 Tooth has moved slightly, but there is still a large space.

8/15 If you look carefully, you can still see a big hole where the tooth belongs.

9/15 No bracket on the tooth in this picture, but if you look really close, you can see some of it.

Today, 9-15-15, a day after getting the new bracket on the right front tooth.

We are very pleased with the progress so far. It has been over 2 years since Brady has had a front tooth on the right.

End of Summer

Besides going to the MN State Fair for the first time with the kids tomorrow, we have pretty much wrapped summer up :(.
It won't feeling like summer is over next week, since the temps are going to be high, but we'll be officially starting school again on Monday.
Summer was amazing this year. The weather was perfect, the boys were friends, we got a new basketball court, and it just felt really relaxed and long---until now. Now it suddenly feels as if it just started yesterday.

Here are a few of our "end of summer" pictures before I post back to school next week.

Summer Part 2

Wow, we're already almost halfway through the month of August.

We have done so many fun things this summer and we've enjoyed so many beautiful days. But, no matter how much we take our time to enjoy the summer, it always seems to get away too quickly.

I never tire of walking outside barefoot, eating meals outside, going for warm evening walks, or having free time everyday.
This summer has been wonderful, and I am sad to see it coming quickly to an end.

I wanted to share a few more of our summer pictures.
In just over a week, we'll be doing our yearly family camping trip to Stoney Creek, followed by the boys' first time to the MN State Fair (with the free tickets we won!), and then school starts up again on August 31. Crazy!

Basketball

Well, it looks like another month has passed since I last blogged. Crazy how fast that happens.
I have tons of fun pictures from the past month, since we've been so busy enjoying every moment of our summer break.

For today, though, I am going to share about our new basketball court in the backyard.
This past week, we had the pleasure of having the company "Sport Court" come out and install our very own basketball court.

Here are the pictures of the progress:

The digging started Monday morning, and the cement was laid before noon.
On Tuesday, the cement continued to fully dry and was cut.
On Wednesday, the hoop was installed and the sport court tiles were painted white.
Then, on Thursday at noon, the paint was finally dry enough for us to get out and play.

Peter has got a portable, wireless speaker so we can have music on the court, a deck box to store the basketball inside, and an easy way for us to stay hydrated with water.

What a fun way to spend time with the family.
We all LOVE it so far!!

These boards helped to protect our grass, making the only damaged area the grass right around the court.

Watching the men work from the deck while eating breakfast and playing in the sandbox.

The hoop adjusts low enough for Marshall to make it too!

The quality of this picture is not good, but I wanted to show how well our deck lights actually light up the court at night. We've been out the past 2 nights until almost 10pm.

We'd love to see you out at the court for a quick game, so just let me know if you're coming down to play.

Summer

Wow, I can't believe it's been over a month since I last blogged!
We have been SO busy, so I think I'll just share a few of the pictures.

We finished school during the last week of May, we 've been to Valleyfair 6-7 times (depending on which of us you ask), the boys have attended 3 library events and finished over 1/2 of their reading lists already, we've celebrated Brady and Logan's birthdays, and the big boys attended their first basketball camp.

Here are the pictures:

Having fun at Valleyfair!

I have some fun pictures from basketball camp too, and from Brady's first Twins game, but they are on Peter's phone. Hopefully I can get them from him soon.

I also wanted to mention the incredible weekend that the boys were able to spend with Grandma and Grandpa a couple weeks ago. They got to spend 2 nights sleeping in the camper, having a bonfire, visiting a couple parks, planting flowers at the cemetery, playing lawn darts, and wearing Grandma and Grandpa completely out :).
Peter and I also received the gift of a peaceful weekend together. We took advantage of spending time together at home. We went out for a couple meals, went for several walks, and played a million of our favorite board games. It was very relaxing and we felt so blessed for our special weekend alone. I was really starting to miss my noisy boys by Sunday afternoon!
